Babakul, meaning “hippie” in French, was a nickname endearingly bestowed upon Kym Gold by business partner and friend Sophie Wizmann. At its inception in 2008, Kym Gold launched Babakul and focused on core wardrobe silhouettes that could carry over from season to season. “I wanted to create a collection for women that had more than just a shelf life–they were timeless–and would always have the capability to transcend,” states Gold.
The essence of Babakul stems from Kym’s personal style motto “disheveled sexy” and on the go idealism.
